Dmitry Medvedev studied the design attentively. He was told that all the work on the construction site will be completed by December, 2018. Medvedev advised sticking to the terms in order not to have problems later.
According to the project, the length of the bridge will total 19 km. The supports will be installed 70 m deep outside the tectonic crack and volcanic activity zone. The automobile strip will have four traffic lanes with a calculated speed of 120 km per hour. The railway strip will have two lanes with a calculated speed for passenger trains of 120 km per hour, and for cargo trains of 80 km per hour.
12,800 automobiles a day are expected to pass over the bridge by 2019, 21,000 by 2025, and 40,000 by 2014. The intensity of railway traffic is calculated at 47 pairs of trains in 2019, and from 2025 to 2040 it will rise to 65 pairs.
All construction work is being carried out according to the schedule. Currently, technological bridges and roads and temporary housing for builders are being constructed.
