A large German plant for waste recycling will be built in Mordovia

As Construction.ru was told by the Ministry’s press office, a large German company, REMONDIS, will deal with its implementation. In the words of the Deputy Minister, the initiatives of the German company will be supported by the Ministry of Construction, Housing and Utilities. “We are interested in foreign competence and investment entering the sphere of utilities, including waste recycling. And we shall help spread the best practices and technologies into the territory of Russia,” Andrei Chibis stressed.
As the Managing Director of REMONDIS, Hendrick Vonnegut, said at the meeting, it is a “test step” for the company on the Russian market, and if it is a success it may lead to further initiatives in other Russian regions. According to him, the company is ready to become a kind of adviser and technological partner in the implementation of such large-scale projects in Russia.
Long-term cooperation intent is planned to be made official with documentation. The signing of a memorandum between the RF Ministry of Construction, Housing and Utilities and the REMONDIS company in December 2015 at the All-Russia Utilities forum is being considered now.
To remind you, in July 2015, during a work trip to Germany, Deputy Minister Andrei Chibis visited the largest techno-park for waste recycling in Europe, created by the REMONDIS company. It was then that the agreement on cooperation with the Russian Party was decided upon.
