The luxurious “Veduchi” ski resort will be created in Chechnya

As the Deputy Minister of Russia for Northern Caucasus Affairs, Andrey Reznikov, told the TASS agency, the construction work will start in 2017.

Design and survey work is estimated at 1 bln roubles, which will be allocated from the federal budget. The total cost of the project is 32 bln roubles and the commissioning is scheduled for 2020.

To remind you, in October 2013 a Special Economic Zone for tourist and recreational activities was created in the Itum-Kali district of the Chechen Republic of Russia. A modern ski resort, named “Veduchi”, will be located there.

The resort will occupy about 1,500 hectares. There will be 15 ski trails of 15.5 km, 8 ski lifts, a hotel complex and a chalet village, service centers, a ski school, rental and service centers, restaurants and cafes.

The resort will be able to accept up to 4,800 guests per day, and about 700 jobs will be created there.
