Amendments to the Air Code have been prepared by the Russian Transport Ministry, reported RIA Novosti. In accordance with them, those refusing the check will not be permitted to enter the airport.
At present, passengers are checked only in the event of a heightened security level. This was decided by the Russian Transport Ministry in the wake of a terror attack in Domodedovo airport.
The Domodedovo international airport bombing occurred on the 24th of January 2011. 37 people were killed and 173 more were injured in the attack, which was committed by a suicide bomber.
