FIFA is satisfied with the progress of work at the stadia construction sites in Russia

The international governing body is content with the progress of work at its construction sites, said a director of FIFA's department for the competition, Colin Smith, in an interview with an “R-Sport” reporter during his visit to Saint Petersburg.

“We have got guarantees that everything will be built in time and we are absolutely sure that this is the case”, said Mr. Smith.

With the joint delegation of FIFA representatives and the “Russia-2018” organizing committee, Colin Smith visited a stadium in Saint Petersburg on the 5th of April.

Altogether, the delegation members have to inspect six World Cup stadia by the 10th of April.

The World Cup 2018 is to be held from 14th of June to 15th of July at 12 stadia in 11 Russian cities: Moscow, Kaliningrad, Saint Petersburg, Volgograd, Kazan, Nizhny Novgorod, Samara, Saransk, Rostov-on-Don, Sochi and Yekaterinburg.
