A new freight complex with an area of 40,000 m2 will have been put into operation by 2017, the airport’s press office told Construction.ru.
Within the framework of the first order of construction, the new terminal, designed for 380,000 tons of cargo, will be erected. Investments in the complex’s construction is to total over $45m. $15m more might potentially be invested in the project.
Sheremetyevo airport is located 29 km northwest of central Moscow and is one of the three major airports that serve Moscow. Since 2015, Sheremetyevo has been the largest airport in Russia.
