This is what the Minister of Housing, Utilities and Energy of the Republic of Yakutia, Alexei Kolodeznikov, said in an interview to TASS agency on Tuesday, following the meeting with the representatives of Japanese company, Komaihaltec Inc., in the city of Yakutsk.

According to him, apart from the four wind turbines in Tiksi, a diesel station is planned to be built. The total capacity of the facility will amount to 1 MW. This year, techno-economic justification is expected to be completed.

With account of delivery of all required materials, the construction work will start in 2017, but the facilities are scheduled to be put into operation in 2018. In the opinion of the Japanese investors, Tiksi obtains a huge potential of wind power generation.
