The Ostrovets site is situated 50 km away from the Lithuanian city of Vilnius.

Lithuania insists on a stress test to be done, as well as assessment of the International Atomic Energy Agency.

In the opinion of Vitalijus Auglys, Minsk should consider the suspension to be to the benefit of the country, since depending on the experts' assessment, the amount of the required investments will be determined.

The Lithuanian party will send its specialists to monitor the stress test in Belarus.

Meanwhile, the chief of international cooperation department at the Belarusian Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment Protection, Marina Filipyuk, said Belarus was ready for cooperation on the issue.
