IKEA intends to increase production and sales in Russia

At present, just the half of goods sold in Russian stores of the network are locally produced and no more than 15% of them are exported in Europe and Northern America.

Now the company intends to extend the Russian-manufactured product assortment, by means of involving local producers and construction of new factories.

Such approach will allow to significantly reduce expenditure on transportation and custom duty.

In Russia IKEA possesses 14 stores of the same name, as well as factories in the Moscow, Leningrad, Novgorod and Kirov regions. One more is under construction in the city of Velikiy Novgorod.
