The document envisages the development of cooperation, as well as coordination of efforts in matters of education in the construction area.
The goal is to improve quality of training for construction-related professions, the professional standards' development and promotion of advanced construction materials and technologies.
KNAUF and Rosatom state energy corporation intend to involve in their joint projects, being implemented within the agreement, the government bodies, local self-governing authorities, public organizations and educational institutions operating in the field of construction and nuclear energy industry.
The signed agreement builds on established relationship between training centers of two companies.
For the first time, KNAUF was involved in training of students of construction brigades for nuclear industry early in 2015 – KNAUF specialists educated tradesmen for craft of plastering. After that, the specialists were sent to the infrastructure construction sites of Rosatom. One of the joint projects of two companies is IV Annual contest of professional excellence “The Best By Profession In a Complex of Nuclear Industry Major Construction”.
Speaking on occasion of the agreement signing, a director of “KNAUF Group CIS” Janis Kraulis thanked the leadership of NOU UTSPR training center for choosing KNAUF as a partner.
He welcomed the extension of cooperation and highlighted the plans on cooperation in development of professional standards in construction-related professions, preparation and taking measures for independent assessment of specialists' qualification, as well as concerted efforts made to promote advanced construction finishing technologies.
In his turn, Viktor Opekunov, expressed hope that the agreement would provide additional opportunities for the development of the nuclear industry's stuff training system and give impetus to the development of new activity areas of NOU UTSPR training center, implementation of which is possible just within the framework of bilateral cooperation between the training centers of Soyuzatomstroy non-profit organization and KNAUF.
