According to head of the state, the construction industry is traditionally one of the driving forces of the economic ties between two countries.
Vladimir Putin reminded that over the course of two last decades, the Turkish construction companies had implemented in Russia more than 1,500 projects worth $55bln. The president expressed the confidence that Russia and Turkey together would be able to establish and resume relations and cooperation, which had been so strong and reliable until quite recently.
Earlier, at a joint press conference with Turkish President Recep Erdogan, Vladimir Putin noted that “over the course of the negotiations, an issue of the lifting of restrictions on involvement of Turkey’s citizens and companies in implementation of construction contracts has been raised”.
“We are working on that and will settle the issue in the near future”, - Putin added.
