Russian PM Medvedev calls on to create tourist infrastructure in national parks

However, this infrastructure mustn’t create load upon ecological system, rather should provide an access to this territory for people.

This is what Russian Prime Minister, Dmitry Medvedev, said, speaking at a session of the Presidential Council for Strategic Development and Priority Projects that took place on Wednesday.

Dmitry Medvedev reminded that there are approximately 13,000 natural areas of preferential protection in Russia. If needed, the new ones might be created. However, on the other hand, it’s crucial that they should be opened for people, he added.

“This is important for a so-called environmental consciousness,” he stressed.
