World's longest glass bridge in China suspends it operation

This measure was taken because if an influx of tourists after the bridge, which has already hit 10 world records, was opened. Over 10,000 visitors per day, instead of a maximum number of 8,000, have walked along the new passage, paved with 99 panes of transparent glasses.

The managing committee intends to upgrade an internal system over the period of the bridge’s operation suspension. The specialists claim that there is no risk posed for the visitors and the matter concerns just software and hardware problems.

The 430-meter long and 6-meter wide bridge started its operation in a test mode on the 20th of August.
