Construction of Gazprom center suspended in Minsk

Last year, a groundbreaking ceremony at the construction site of the future center was held with the participation of Belarussian President, Alexander Lukashenko, and Chairman of Gazprom Board of Directors, Alexey Miller.

The Gazprom center, estimated at $500 million was planned to be put into operation in 2018. According to the project design, the complex comprises nine buildings of different height. In the center of this architectural composition Belarus highest tower with 36 storeys is to be erected. The offices of Gazprom Group are planned to be housed there.

According to the agency’s source, the suspension of the center construction was caused by Russia-Belarussian dispute over the price for natural gas supplies for Minsk.
