Earlier, Kastamonu plant producing medium density fiber boards was laid down in “Kaluga” Special Economic Zone, but due to deterioration of Russia-Turkey relations, the facility’s construction was suspended. After that, the Kaluga regional authorities signed an agreement on construction with Austrian Kronospan.
“At present, a paradoxical situation arose and both companies wish to build this plant. We have an opportunity to select the preferable contractor, or that company, which turns out to be more enthusiastic,” said Artamonov at a press conference on Wednesday.
