Eco activists shut down 5 major Canada-US pipelines

The U.S. organization, Climate Direct Action, which members took part in that protest action, said that its environmental groups worked at pipeline sites in Washington, Montana, North Dakota and Minnesota. The activists posted photos and video showing them cutting through security chains and closing valves.

The police arrived at sites owned by Enbridge Inc., TransCanada Corp., Kinder Morgan Inc. and Spectra Energy Corp and arrested the activists protesting against ambitions of Alberta’s oil sands industry to enter global markets.
