Speaking to the deputies of the regional Legislative Assembly, he proposed to start large-scale work on restoration and expansion of the city of Yekaterinburg’s parks and garden squares, and making the city yards more eco-friendly.
The regional program, “Ural green cities” may involve all social groups. It is a great opportunity to improve the ecological condition of the region and raise the quality of people’s life.
To remind you, 2017 is announced the Year of Ecology in Russia. For the Sverdlovsk region, the area with high concentration of industrial enterprises, the issues of the environment protection are very acute. Adequate and ultimate solutions are demanded. First of all, it is the creation of the industrial enterprises infrastructure meeting modern requirements on the reduction of harmful environmental impact. Besides, it is necessary to start the construction of recycling plants in the region and to replace the out-of-date public transport with more modern and ecologically friendly one.
