As Construction.RU has been told by the regional ministry’s press office, the oceanarium is located in Mezhdunarodnaya street, No 10, in Krasnogorsk of the territory of the “Crocus City” complex.
A three-storey building with the total area of 12,000 sq. meters will house the largest exposition of sea and river borne nature in the region, as well as saltwater and freshwater fauna. More than 5,000 species from all over the planet will be exhibited on the territory of Oceanarium.
One may see animals affecting the Indian, Pacific and Atlantic oceans, in the Japanese, White, Black and Red seas, on the Great Barrier Reef, in the water of the Amazon, and in the rivers and lakes of Europe and Russia there.
Besides, rare species of birds, animals and insects will be exhibited there. A display of exotic butterflies and birds designed to resemble a tropical park is called the Butterfly Garden. Here, butterflies and birds will live freely, without cages andaviaries, actually in their natural environment.
The new Oceanarium will open for visitors in October. 200,000 visitors will be able to attend it monthly.
