According to the company, a Hyperloop system situated on the east coast of Australia would make “perfect sense”, running north to south along the coast. It will cover the territory from Newcastle, Sydney, Canberra and Melbourne to Geelong.
“Projections by Infrastructure Australia suggest that, by 2031, the population of greater Melbourne is expected to nearly double and metropolitan Sydney is projected to increase by more than 35%,” GCR cites the company.
Hyperloop One claims that its transport technology is “simply faster, better, cheaper and greener than any high speed transport alternative available, for both passengers and freight”.
