Swedish Steelmar resumes dispute over park construction in Russia

The company litigates a refusal to review new evidence of the dispute over guarded objects on its territory.

Steelmar Scandinavia owns 22,7 hectares of land on the park’s territory and plans to build 71 cottages there. As it was reported in December 2012, Steelmar acquired that plot of land in 2005 and the deal was free of encumbrances related to the territory’s belonging to cultural heritage site.

As a reference, Babolov park was established in the 18th century and in 1990 was included in the UNESCO World Heritage list.
