This is evidenced by data from Statistics Directorate of the European Union (EUROSTAT). According to the agency, the same rate of decline was recorded in August.
As for twenty-eight EU member states, volume of construction reduced by 0,3 per cent compared to August and by 0,2 per cent on a year-on-year basis. The most notable growth was recorded in Slovenia (4 per cent), Poland (3,3 per cent) and Sweden (3,1 per cent).
On a year-on-year basis, the most notable reduction of construction rates were in Slovakia (-17,9 per cent), Poland (-16,1 per cent) and Hungary (-13,2 per cent).
