“The Estonian Railways will join Nord – South project. This will allow to ensure cargo transportation from the states of Northland and North Europe through Paldiski Harbour in Estonia and then through Russia to Azerbaijan. After that (the cargo will be transported) through Iran to the states of Persian Gulf,” explained Igbal Guseinov.
According to him, Estonia’s participation in the project was agreed over the course of bilateral meetings. The corresponding documents are planned to be signed in the first decade of December in Estonia – Azerbaijan – Russia – Iran format, following harmonization of this issue with the Russian and Iranian parties.
