Turkish Stream is a projected natural gas pipeline, which is planned to run from Southern Russian Krasnodar Region across the Black Sea to Turkish Thrace. This ambitious plan was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on 1 December 2014 in Turkey and was intended to replace the cancelled South Stream project.
