Australian government approves construction of second airport in Sydney

“The need for a new airport in Western Sydney has been obvious for many years”, — said the Prime Minister of Australia Malcolm Turnbull.

“We will continue to work. This airport will be built... it will become a catalyst for attracting investment and for industrial development in Western Sydney,” added Turnbull.

We should remind you that the initial discussion of the project for construction of an airport in Badgerys Creek, in the Western suburb of Sydney, began 70 years ago. The construction of the new airport should be completed in mid-2020. The project will cost about $3 billion 700 thousand.
