As the U.S. Treasury Department reported today, the matter concerns JSC Institute Stroyproekt, Karst LLC, Federal state unitary enterprise The Crimean Railway (KZhD) and The Crimean Ports company.
The first two companies are involved in the construction of the Kerch Bridge in Crimea, The Crimean Railway is in charge of “the development of railroads on the Peninsula”, and The Crimean Ports ensure the safety of seaports of the Republic within the Russian Federation.
In addition, the sanctions list included 7 individuals, as well as two vessels under the Russian flag.
Meanwhile, according to the project commissioner, Taman Road Directorate federal state enterprise, the US sanctions will not affect the construction of the Kerch Bridge, the company’s press service told TASS news agency.
