Speaking at a meeting with members of the government, Vladimir Putin, defined necessity to develop infrastructure in the North Caucasus as one of the key tasks.
This is especially important in view of the region's development as a site for winter recreational activities.
“I hope that by the year 2021, they will be fulfilled and our citizens will get additional options for recreation activities in Russia, in the North Caucasus,” said the head of the state.
As a reference, the North Caucasus is the northern part of the Caucasus region between the Black Sea and the Caspian Sea and within European Russia.
