Currently, the railroad is being constructed at a section between Zhuravka and Millerovo.
According to Dmitry Bulgakov, in accordance with the decision of the Russian Defense Minister, additional areas of work have been handed over to Railway Forces as early as at the end of 2016. An earthwork will be built, as well as assembled rails and sleepers with a total length of 110 kilometers will be laid there.
