According to House Speaker Paul Ryan, who gave an interview to MSNBC on Wednesday, the wall construction, the measure aimed at securing the national borders, is one of Trump’s promises to the American people.
Earlier this week, Ryan offered to adopt a supplemental appropriations bill on the wall construction. As Chris Collins, a New York Republican and Trump ally, put it: “We do have to pay our bills.”
Meanwhile, Congress has not received yet a request for special spending on the part of the White House.
