The construction work volume carried out in 2016 totaled 6.184 trn roubles ($107 bln), which is 4.3% less than in 2015.
According to Rosstat, 1.157m new flats were built in 2016, which is 1.1% fewer than in 2015.
Putting housing in operation in 2016 reduced by 6.5% to 79.8m square meters, including 31.6m square meters of individual housing, or 39.6% of the overall housing put in operation in 2016.
