Fusion power plant to be built in Canada by 2030

In order to complete the work in time, the scientists need investments in amount of $125 million. The project’s authors seek financial assistance from Canadian government, since much surveying activities are required to make the reactor commercially usable.

Nuclear fusion is considered to be the most powerful source of renewable energy due to energy payback and low greenhouse gas emissions. Unlike traditional nuclear power plants, fusion reactor doesn’t require consumption of expensive uranium and operates on a principle of the Sun.
