The Governor noted that the document had already been forwarded to the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade. According to the Deputy President of the Moscow regional parliament, Denis Butsaev, a famous Russian truck manufacturer Kamaz became a project partner and it will be engaged in assembly operations.
The plant’s owner is Daimler. This is the first contract on the construction of a plant owned by this Western car-making giant in Russia over the course of the last 10 years. The facility will be located in Peshkovskoye village, on the territory of “Yesipovo” industrial park.
Construction activities at a site will start in 2018, the first product line is scheduled to be released in 2019. Investments in the project are estimated at €300 million.
