A total length of the bridge will amount to 5666 meters, while the width will be 27,2 meters. The bridge will stretch through the sea northward from the province’s administrative center, the city of Haikou towards a new tourist project – Ruyi artificial island, which is currently under construction.
According to a general contractor of the project, a highway and tramway are planned to be built along the bridge.
Sea depth on the site of the bridge construction is in average between 10 and 15 meters, waves’ elevation reaches to 6 meters.
The bridge is scheduled to be put in operation in 2019.
