Construction of large Russian thermal power plant starts in Iran

The construction site of Sirik thermal power plant is located 130 km from the port city of Bandar Abbas on the Persian Gulf. The project implementation is planned to last 55 months. Commissioning of the first unit is scheduled for 2020. Warranty period of the facility’s operation is valid until the year 2022.

A contract for construction of four Sirik TPP’s power units, with a capacity of 350 MW each, was signed by Tekhnopromexport and Iranian Holding Company for the Electricity Generation in Steam Thermal Power Plants in July last year.
