The corresponding agreement was signed by the region’s Governor, Vasily Golubev, and the director general of Don-Metal company, Natig Asadov, within the framework of the Russian investment forum in Sochi. The construction activities have already been launched at the site.
In particular, a transformer substation is erected, documentation for the construction of railroads is developed, construction of the production building is being completed. Apart from that, equipment necessary for the plant’s operation is purchased.
Over 400 million rubles have been invested in the facility, while the total investment will amount to 3.3 billion roubles ($57 million). 480 jobs are expected to be created at the enterprise with a capacity of 160,000 tons per year.
The plant is scheduled to be put in operation in 2018.
