Construction is expected to be completed within six years.
The construction activities are supposed to be financed at the expense of credits granted under the state guarantees and under the terms of co-financing by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the European Investment Bank, as well as at the expense of internal funds of the enterprise.
The Energy Ministry explained that the new station was designed to “save coal for thermal power plants” and to improve the electricity quality of Ukrainian united energy system.
