Such data was published today on the website of the Federal Customs Service (the FTS) of Russia. It is indicated in the document that in January the share of the EU in a total foreign trade turnover of Russia rose to 45.4% from 41.7% a year earlier.
At that, in January, exports to the EU increased 1.6 times to $13 billion, while imports from the EU rose 1,5 times, to $4.35 billion. According to experts, the growth of turnover with the EU countries is largely due to sharply increased deliveries of Russian gas during the cold winter.
