South Korea stops NPP reactor due to risk of nuclear seepage

According to the agency, the fourth reactor of Kori nuclear power plant was stopped after an increase in the coolant level was recorded in a storage tank. It is alleged that the leakage of radioactive materials has not occurred. Currently, the nuclear power plant and its fourth reactor are safe for the environment.

At present, 23 nuclear reactors operate in South Korea.

We should remind you that the Kori nuclear power plant is located a suburban village in Busan and is operated by Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power.
