KFC increases number of its restaurants in post-Soviet area up to 1000

Currently, the company manages 600 KFC restaurants in Russia and the CIS (the Commonwealth of Independent States encompassing most of the former USSR countries).

“We're going to keep on increasing the number of restaurants in Russia and the CIS, and we plan to manage up to 1,000 outlets by 2020,” she said, noting that in 2017, one hundred restaurants are planned to be opened.

According to Polyakova, the company intends to actively develop in the regions of Russia. Development Director at Yum Brands in Russia, Tatiana Shamanskaya, noted that a strategic direction of the KFC development is opening restaurants in cities with population less than 100,000 people.
