According to him, Kinross may include in the joint enterprise both of its existing facilities – Kupol and Dvoinoye, while Highland Gold will include Kekura development project.
Kekura field is located 100 km from Kupol. The same distance is between Kupol and Dvoinoye, what does not hamper Kinross to process ore from both mines on Kupol’s premises.
As it was previously assumed, a total expenditure will amount to $105 million, including $56 million allocated to Kekura.
