Chinese CC Land purchased London’s tallest skyscraper for $1.5bn

“This step is due to the developers’ intention to diversify investments both on a territorial basis and in accordance with the specifics of a business model” – China Daily’s analysts commented the transaction.

It is expected that due to rent, the building will bring the company a profit of 40.2 million pounds ($51.9 million).

The skyscraper reaches 225 meters in height and was offered for sale because of an outstanding debt of its owner, British Land and Canada's Oxford Properties, in the amount of 12.7 million pounds ($17.3 million).
