American bomber discovered on Nord Stream-2 construction site

The rare vehicle was discovered at a depth of 100 meters. According to the Finnish TV, surprisingly, the aircraft with the length of 11 meters and a wingspan of 18 meters looks quite intact. Usually, planes that fall into the sea break apart into many pieces.

As a reference, bombers of this type had been used during the Second World War by the United States, United Kingdom and Soviet Union.

Experts say that this discovery will by no means affect the process of the Nord Stream-2 construction, because the pipe will be laid at a distance of about a kilometer.

The Nord Stream-2 project provides for the construction of two offshore strings of a gas pipeline running from Russia to Germany under the Baltic Sea. A total capacity of both strings amounts to 55 billion cubic meters of gas per year.

It is scheduled to be put into operation by the end of 2019. The project is estimated at €9.9 billion.
