GM stops selling cars in India and gets rid of enterprise in South Africa

As stated in GM’s press release, in the future, the company’s enterprise located in the Indian town of Talegaon will produce cars exclusively for export. The plant will remain an export hub for the markets of Mexico, Central and South America, GM noted.

The South African operations of GM is planned to be sold to Japanese company Isuzu Motors. Isuzu will acquire an enterprise owned by GM in the South African city of Struandale, as well as 30% stake in Isuzu Truck South Africa, a joint venture for production of trucks, currently belonging to the American carmaker.
