95 inspected residential high-rises in UK do not meet fire regulations

After a fire in London at a 24-storey residential building Grenfell Tower, which killed at least 79 people, the British authorities are checking the fire safety in 600 high-rise residential buildings.

As a result, 95 buildings in 32 regions of the country have failed the inspection.

Scotland Yard said that the fire at Grenfell Tower began because of a Hotpoint refrigerator of FF175BP model. Also, it was revealed that the lining and insulation of the building had not passed tests for compliance with fire safety standards.
