This is said in a message released by the gas holding company following a meeting between Gazprom CEO, Alexey Miller, and Governor of the Vologda region, Oleg Kuvshinnikov.
“In 2012-2017, the company (including subsidiaries) invested 186 billion rubles in the construction of sections of main gas pipelines in the Vologda region, primarily Ukhta — Torzhok, Ukhta — Torzhok-2 and Gryazovets — Vyborg. In 2018, capital investments in the construction of gas transmission capacities are planned in the amount of 50.8 billion rubles,” Gazprom informs.
During the meeting, it is noted that Gazprom was implementing strategically important projects in the region for expanding the Northern gas transport corridor, which is becoming the main one for gas supply to consumers in the European part of Russia and supplies to Europe.
