The message says that on March 16, a meeting of Gazprom CEO Alexey Miller and the President of Siemens, Joe Kaeser, was held in St. Petersburg. The parties negotiated the prospects of cooperation between the companies.
In particular, they focused on the supply of equipment for Grozny thermal power station. According to the signed contract, Siemens specialists will ship, install and put into operation two gas turbines for the power plant with a total capacity of up to 360 MW. The launch of the facility is scheduled for 2019.
In April 2015, it was reported that Siemens became a winner of a tender for the supply of equipment for the thermal power plant that is being built by Gazprom Energoholding.
