To date, the number of new homes in the country has exceeded 1,3 million. According to experts, the initial figure of February at 1.236 million was revised upwards — up to 1,295 million new homes.
There is also an increase in the number of permits for the construction of new buildings issued last month. The growth accounted for 2.5%, exceeding expectations of analysts as well.
Experts have indicated the correlation between the new buildings number and the level of interest rates. This is because the construction of new housing has to be credited. Thus, experts link an increase in construction volumes with a rise in US residents’ incomes.
