Five plants for wood waste processing to be built by Chinese in Russia

The Ministry of the Russian Far East Development said that the construction of these facilities was due to the need for complete processing of the wood. Yuri Trutnev, Russia's presidential envoy to the Far Eastern Federal District, has noted that the environmental legislation may be changed to encourage Russian companies to process rather than bury wood wastes. Mr. Trutnev has also expressed the hope that the domestic wood processing enterprises will make a step towards such an initiative themselves.

The Chinese company Beijing Zhonglian Ruihua New Energy Technologies announced its intention to build biofuel production plants in Russia. In particular, such enterprises may appear in the Khabarovsk and Primorye Territories, where enough raw materials are located. Most of the products will be exported to China and South Korea.
