According to the statement released by the Cabinet’s press office, the Transport Strategy of the Russian Federation includes a large investment project for building Urals high-speed rail line from Chelyabinsk to Yekaterinburg, with the length of 220 kilometers.
It is noted that passengers will be able to get from one point of the railway to the other in an hour and 10 minutes. The decree indicates that the high-speed railway will improve the structure of the labor market and socio-economic migration. In addition, a new type of economic cooperation in the region will be established.
