Income from housing rent in Spain is gradually growing

Experts believe that profitability will continue to grow, though at a moderate pace. In 2016, 22% of the country's residents rented housing, Eurostat reports. Specialists of the industry believe that such a figure is the result of a change in the world outlook of young people, who often move somewhere.

In 2016, about 50% of people aged 16 - 29 years rented housing, although, in 2004, the proportion of those did not reach 40%. According to Servihabitat, 73.6% of real estate renters are not older than 35 years old.

Now, 90,000 housing units are rented in Spain. This is 8% less than in September last year. But in some regions - Madrid, Catalonia, the Balearic Islands - the offer has increased.
