Gazprom unveils its plans to launch first pipeline string of Turkish Stream

According to Medvedev, the first string will be launched by the end of next year. He has also stressed that the final date for the start of gas supplies will be determined depending on the implementation of the pipeline’s offshore section and the degree of readiness of the Turkish gas distribution system.

In addition, the representative of Gazprom commented on Bulgaria's intention to accept the second string of the Turkish Stream gas pipeline. Medvedev believes that this shows that the Bulgarian party regrets about the rejection of the South Stream project.

Earlier, Prime Minister Boyko Borisov apologized to the Russian party for the failure of the South Stream project, while Russian President Vladimir Putin pointed to the absence of objections from both Russia and Turkey against the extension of the Turkish Stream towards Bulgaria.
